When Innovation Meets Humanitarian Care

Christopher Marquis, B.Pharm, MSc, is a clinical pharmacist who has been practicing for over 18 years at CHU Sainte-Justine in Montreal, specializing in pediatric intensive care. In addition to his clinical work, he is the Director of Pediatric and Neonatal Content for EZResus. Passionate about global health, Christopher has participated in 13 humanitarian missions, mainly across Africa—including Morocco, Egypt, Ethiopia, and Senegal—where he brings both his medical expertise and his commitment to knowledge sharing. His work in the development of our application reflects his mission to equip healthcare professionals with the support they need, wherever they are.

At Paratus, we firmly believe that the right tools, placed in the right hands, can transform how care is delivered—even in the most challenging settings. This belief was powerfully illustrated by Christopher Marquis during a recent humanitarian mission to Côte d’Ivoire, in partnership with Sainte-Justine au Cœur du Monde. While on-site, Christopher not only shared his pediatric critical care expertise but also introduced EZResus to the local medical team. This initiative is a clear reflection of our mission at Paratus: to support healthcare workers with tools that make a real difference, wherever they are needed.

Far from major hospitals, in an environment where every resource counts, EZResus proved to be an asset. Its intuitive interface and expert-validated protocols provided the local healthcare team with quick, reliable guidance in pediatric emergencies. By sharing this tool and his knowledge, Christopher helped strengthen local capacity and improve the quality of care for children.

Thank you, Christopher, for your dedication and meaningful work where it truly matters!
